about

Next Excuse is one of my first songs I co-wrote. It's about that person in your life who always has an excuse for you. Sometimes, you even share the same DNA.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Not much to say to each other
Distance don’t make the heart grow fonder
You’ve been away for sometime now
So don’t think that you’re hiding out now

One day you’ll cry again,
Wondering what life could’ve been
You talk in circles without any regrets
Staying away may be your best bet

Chorus:
Life is short and not always so sweet
I’m sure you have you next excuse beat
If I saw you out on the street
Would our eyes eventually meet?
I’m sure you have your next excuse beat
We’re just two strangers dragging our feet

Verse 2:
Silence falls like incarcerated time
Would you even say you were mine?
Or better yet would I say I was yours?
Cuz time is ticking with forever at the door
You choose this path and the floor is all yours

Chorus

Bridge:
Next time around I not backing down
So, cut the chit chat
I’m not looking back, woah
This world is mine so you may not be in it
Yes, this world is all mine so tag
I’ve already been it

Chorus

Resolution:
I’m sure you have you next excuse beat
You’re just a stranger dragging your feet
